Nestled up a side road from the B2126 in Holmbury St Mary, we are what we believe a true English freehouse pub should be – welcoming, homely and safe, with log fires burning in the winter and a beer garden that calls you in the summer!
We are proud to be the leaseholders of a freehouse pub in such a beautiful part of England’s south-east, the Surrey Hills.
It is our aim to offer an ever changing range of real ales, mostly from within a 50 mile radius of the pub, as well as wines from ‘New’ and ‘Old’ world countries and equally as important, traditional quality English ciders.
Our food offering will be a balanced mix of traditional and more contemporary dishes, using fresh, locally supplied ingredients with all dishes made in our pub kitchen using old fashioned farmhouse – style recipes.
As well as our food and drink offering, we intend to hold regular and special events including a monthly Tuesday Quiz and Curry Night; Live Music, special-theme food nights, summer barbecues, seasonal beer festivals and occasional wine evenings.
Things people have said…!
Veni, Vidi, Vino – ” I came, I saw, I wined”!
Carpe Diem? – “Do you serve fish?!”
Bibendum non loco absolutum – ” I’m glad we didnt drink too much!”
